Alabama opened public beaches on May 1. Despite a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, Gov. Kay Ivey is easing her Safer at Home order to let casinos, museums, zoos and amusements parks open Friday afternoon.

Gov. Kay Ivey is relaxing restrictions on schools, water parks and other elements of normal life. Since early March, Alabama has received more than 501,000 jobless claims.
