Lions rocked before Sharks match after two players forced to isolate
- Tourists waiting on tests as Sharks game delayed
- Remainder of tour of South Africa now in peril
The British & Irish Lions have been hit by a positive Covid-19 test, delaying the match against the Sharks on Wednesday night and raising even more doubt over the remainder of the tour of South Africa.
One member of the tourists’ staff has recorded a positive result following a lateral flow test and they and four others – including two players – have been forced into isolation. The Lions’ match against the Sharks had been in doubt but will now go ahead at a later kick-off time of 7pm BST.
